In this article, we’ll look at the iPhone 14’s A15 Bionic processor, a new 12MP primary camera, and updated ProMotion technology. We’ll also look at the phone’s new Always-On display. Hopefully, this information will help you decide which one to buy.

Apple’s A15 Bionic chipset
The A15 Bionic chip will be used in iPhone 14 standard models, according to a report published in the Wall Street Journal. The chip has two high-performance cores and four efficiency cores. It will also feature a five-core GPU and 16-core neural engine. It will use about 20% less power than Apple’s previous A15 Bionic chip and has 50% more memory bandwidth. The report did not provide any other information about the chip’s RAM.
The A15 Bionic chip is expected to be included in the standard iPhone 14 Plus models, but not the iPhone Pro. Apple has previously reserved the top-tier A16 chip for its iPhone Pro models.
New 12MP primary camera
The iPhone 14 has two cameras on the back – a 12-megapixel wide-angle camera carried over from the last two models, and a new 12-megapixel primary camera with f/1.5 aperture. Apple promises better detail and less noise and faster performance from the new main camera. It also features second-generation optical image stabilization.
The new 12-megapixel primary camera on the iPhone 14 Pro Max models also comes with a 3x telephoto camera for portraits. Both cameras support optical zoom. Apple has stuck to the 12MP primary sensor on its iPhones for years, but the new sensors should help the cameras perform better in low-light situations.
Super Retina XDR display with updated ProMotion technology
The new iPhones from Apple have a Super Retina XDR display and updated ProMotion technology. The latter allows the phones to support up to 120 Hz refresh rates, which makes the displays more responsive to touch. The updated version of iOS also helps the phones intelligently use the new faster refresh rates.
The iPhone 13 is made of aluminium while the iPhone 14 has a glossy glass back. Both devices feature Ceramic Shield glass to protect the display and increase long-term durability. Both models also have the same 6.1-inch Super Retina XDR OLED display, which supports Dolby Vision and HDR10. Both phones feature an 800 nit minimum brightness and a 1,200-nit peak brightness.
New Always-On display
The iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Max are expected to feature a new always-on display. The feature is already on Android phones, but it has yet to make its way to Apple’s iPhones. According to insiders, the iPhone 14 Pro will feature the feature on the lock screen. When the feature is enabled, widgets will appear on the screen, but they’ll fade in imperceptibly to avoid screen burn-in.
The new Always-On display will roll in notifications from the bottom of the screen. It might even include a notification counter at the bottom of the screen. The notifications interface will also be customizable. Apple plans to unveil more details about the new feature at a September 7 event.

Battery life
Apple has never been shy about claiming that their devices have the best battery life. Since the iPhone 6 Plus launched in 2014, the device has consistently outperformed other phones in this category. Now, however, this claim is under threat. Although the iPhone 14 Max looks more attractive than the iPhone 6 Plus, its battery life is dwindling. The vapor chamber cooling system, which is built into the Pro Max, may help the battery last longer.
The battery life on the iPhone 14 is much better than that of its predecessors, the iPhone 13 and 12. According to Apple’s website, the iPhone 14 can last for up to eighty hours of audio playback. However, it is still short of the iPhone 13’s nine-hour battery life.
